We successfully dodged the rain and thunderstorms to have a really great day on the water. The river was a tad off color, but still fished great with the usual girdle bugs, rubber legs, pheasant tails and squirmy worms providing solid action. And Doc’s Wormz and his freshly tied Higa’s SOS flies performed really well. Don’t overlook the various perdigons either.
Great time to be on the river. The laurel are starting bloom and the azaleas are at their peak. Good times, new friends, outstanding lunch spread once again, and one…less than welcome visitor! Be alert for our slithering friends as the warm weather is bringing them out.
