Jeff enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Gallatin drainage near Yellowstone National Park. He picked up this really nice brown trout in the Taylor river. The fussy trout refused the first few drifts before nailing a size 18 Royal Cripple fly. From there he fished the beautiful Lamar river and also picked up this fat cutthroat on a dry fly. Jeff said the fish were eager to eat dries, but they also caught plenty of fish on dry dropper combos and streamers. Those steely blue checks on the brown trout match the outfit nicely, Jeff!
