Have you perfected the Snap T when you use your $3 dip?

Let’s face it, flyfishing is not the easiest sport to get started in without someone to give you a little guidance.  We have lots of cool equipment names (shooting heads!?), arcane line management and casting terms (Snap T anyone?) and obtuse fly names (Y2K? $3 dip? Duracell?).

Flyfishers International (FFI) is trying to demystify some of this and make it just a little easier to get started with this new set of videos.  Check them out!

Learn to Fly Fish

Veterans Flyfishing is a club chartered under FFI and we are part of the Southeastern Council of FFI.  In addition to providing learning tools like the one above, FFI is the certifying body for our casting instructors.  The Southeast Council also provides a number of cool learning and fishing events for members such as The Kingfisher Classic and Fishing the Waters of the Southeast

If you have let your membership lapse, or are not a member, you can join through this link.  Don’t forget to use the Veterans discount to lower your membership.

See you out there on the water.  Make sure you brush up on your Penny Knot and practice your water loads!
