Please welcome our new treasurer, Daniel Ferrere onto the Veterans Flyfishing team. You may have met Daniel on one of our spring outings when he fished with Josh, and if so, you may remember that he was US Army and served tours in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
He has an extensive background in finance and accounting with 28 years of experience including Controller roles in the plant, region and corporate levels, as well as Corporate Finance and Administration roles. He will be a big help as we set up our system given his experience with accounting and finance systems.
Daniel is a very active volunteer as well helping out at Erlanger Hospital, driving the hospital van for Chattanooga VA, and assisting Seniors with taxes as AARP volunteer.
He is relatively new to the fly-fishing arena being introduced to the sport after he retired from the accounting/finance profession after 28 years. He also golfs to help balance out his flyfishing.
Daniel lives near Chattanooga, TN with his wife Jeanne, also an Army veteran. Make sure you seek him out to say “hi” at our guide and outfitter outing on October 28th.
