Brian Wildeman – Vice President VFF.org

In 1973, Brian became a volunteer firefighter in New Jersey. He joined the US Air Force (USAF) as a firefighter in 1979.  In the USAF, he trained as a Crash Fire Rescue Crew Chief and became proficient in air crew rescue.  Brian retired from the USAF in 1994 as Assistant Chief of Operations and Training at Loring Air Force Base in Maine.  He met his wife Mary at Loring AFB in 1994 and relocated to Georgia in 1995.

In Georgia, Brian attained the rank of Captain. and developed the fire rescue training program for Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services (EMS).  He retired in 2010.

Brian’s love of fly fishing came from a Maine Warden Service flyfishing guide.  He found Veterans Flyfishing online and scheduled a fishing day. After seeing the quality work  performed by VFF, he felt it was the perfect opportunity to spend time with veterans, share his knowledge, learn from others, and experience more flyfishing adventures.  When not fly fishing, he spends time with his four beautiful granddaughters.
